We are a curated marketplace for premium, handcrafted goods — jewelry, textiles, drums, soaps, candles, and home essentials — each piece carrying the story of its maker. Founded by Kenya Warren, The Artisan Square is built on the belief that the objects we bring into our lives should mean something.

The Artisans Behind the Work

Our makers are skilled craftspeople working across West Africa, East Africa, and the African diaspora — communities where artisanship is not a trend, but a living tradition passed down through families and villages.

• Jewelry — Hand-formed in brass, copper, and sterling silver using techniques refined over centuries.
• Drums & Percussion — Carved from sustainably sourced hardwoods and fitted with natural skins by master drum makers.
• Textiles — Woven, dyed, and stitched by hand using natural fibers and traditional patterns.
• Soaps & Candles — Small-batch, plant-based formulations made with shea, black soap, and botanicals native to the continent.

We work directly with our artisan partners — not through intermediaries — so that fair compensation flows to the people whose skill makes this all possible.
